    I think it's easier. And if you're already backing up like you should, It's much more of a time saver than trying to remove it with a Spyware computer and then the cat comes back. But that's just my opinion.

    I've found Spyware Doctor to be a pretty effective freeware tool. There are some other great ones out there though.
